I can't get the very very irritating Widgets to keep popping out from left side of screen in Windows 11 Home. Have gone through the Taskbar, Widgets cycleand toggled them off and yet they stay ON ! The Group Policy Editor feature does not work in Home edition nor does PowerShell..... HELP....!!

To disable the Widgets feature in Windows 11 Home, you can try the following steps:

    1. Right-click on the Taskbar: Select Taskbar settings.
    2. Toggle Widgets Off: In the Taskbar settings, look for the Widgets option and toggle it off.

If this does not work, you can also check the Settings app:

    1. Go to Settings > Personalization > Taskbar.
    2. Find the Widgets option and ensure it is turned off.

Since Windows 11 Home does not support Group Policy Editor, you may not be able to use that method to disable Widgets. Unfortunately, PowerShell commands specific to this feature may also not be effective in the Home edition.

If the Widgets continue to appear despite these settings, consider checking for any updates or reinstalling the Widgets feature if possible.

Hi! Sorry to hear that you’re having trouble with this. Could you please let me know if you’ve tried moving the mouse to the top-left corner of the screen? When the widgets appear, go to the top-right corner of that panel and click the gear icon. There, disable the option that opens the panel when you move/hover the mouse over it.
