    Hi Ruby Andrews,

Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A Forum and letting us know about your situation. I understand your card has been compromised and you’d like to keep your account open until your new card arrives.

Here are the steps you can take:

    • Keep your account active: Your account will remain open even if your current payment method is compromised.
    • Update payment details once your new card arrives: As soon as you receive your new card, go to your account’s billing section and update the payment method.
    • Temporary measures: If your subscription is due for renewal before your new card arrives, you may see a payment failure notice. Don’t worry, your account won’t close immediately. You’ll have a grace period to update your payment information.
    • Alternative option: If you have another valid card or payment method available, you can add it temporarily to avoid any service interruption.

Once your new card is activated, simply replace the temporary payment method with your new card details. IIn case you need my help, feel free to let me know.
