My recurring billing since March 2025 has been servicing another device without me knowing it. Now that I need to use MS Word, it will not work on my macbook.

To request a refund for your Microsoft 365 subscription, you need to follow the refund process based on your billing account type. Here are the general steps:

    1. Determine Your Billing Account Type: Your refund eligibility and process depend on whether you have an MCA (Microsoft Customer Agreement) or MOSA (Microsoft Online Subscription Agreement) billing account. You can find out your billing account type by checking your account settings in the Microsoft 365 admin center.
    2. Cancellation and Refund: If you have an MCA billing account, you can only receive a prorated credit or refund if you cancel within seven days after the start or renewal of your subscription. For MOSA billing accounts, you can receive a prorated credit or refund if you cancel after starting or renewing your subscription.
    3. Contact Support: If you are unable to cancel your subscription or need assistance with the refund process, you should contact Microsoft support for help. They can guide you through the steps based on your specific situation.
    4. Turn Off Recurring Billing: If you do not want to continue the subscription, make sure to turn off recurring billing to prevent future charges.

Since your subscription has been going to an unknown device, it might be worth checking your account for any unauthorized access and securing it as well.
