If you are locked out of your email account and unable to set a new password, here are a few steps you can take:

    1. Self-Service Password Reset: If you have set up security information, you can try using the Self-Service Password Reset wizard. For work or school accounts, visit https://passwordreset.microsoftonline.com. For personal Microsoft accounts, go to https://account.live.com/ResetPassword.aspx.
    2. Contact Support: If you are not receiving helpful replies from automated responses, consider reaching out to Microsoft support directly. You can find the appropriate contact for your region at Get support - Microsoft 365 admin.
    3. Check for Global Admin: If you are part of an organization, reach out to your global admin for assistance in resetting your password.
    4. Wait for Response: If you have submitted a support request, be sure to check your email (including spam/junk folders) for any replies from Microsoft.
    5. Alternative Contact Methods: If you are still having trouble, consider using the contact methods available on the Microsoft support pages to escalate your issue.

Following these steps should help you regain access to your account.

    Hi,

What recovery methods do you have on your account, such as a phone number, email, or both?

When was the last time you successfully logged in?

What is the exact error message you receive when trying to log in or reset your password?
