Using direct user uploaded file inputs in new Microsoft foundry agent (not file search, direct file input)

There seems to be no documentation on an agent using user uploaded file inputs to an agent in the new foundry portal. There is a paperclip attatch button in the test pane, but when I try to upload a file and run a test, I get a generic server_error. This has also been super glitchy in Copilot Studio. What gives?

**Yes, the new Foundry portal does include the paperclip option, but agents do not support direct file uploads as input. The Product team is working on a fix. The recommended approach is to upload files using either the code interpreter or file search when working with agents using the left pane as shown below:
