I have paid a monthly subscription of £84.99 but also appear to be paying an additional monthly payment of £5.80 as well. I don't understand what the £5.80 payment is for - could someone shed light?

The additional monthly payment of £5.80 could be due to several reasons related to your subscription. Here are some possibilities:

    1. Additional Licenses: If you have added extra licenses to your subscription, the cost for those licenses would appear as an additional charge.
    2. Service Changes: If you made any changes to your subscription, such as upgrading or adding features, those changes might incur extra fees.
    3. Taxes or Fees: Sometimes, additional charges may include taxes or other fees that are applied to your subscription.

To get a clearer understanding of the charges, you can check your invoice details or contact Microsoft support for specific inquiries related to your account.

Log into your Microsoft account on this link to check your subscriptions, do you find one subscription or two subscriptions listed there, there may be an extra Microsoft 365 Basic subscription listed that may need to be removed?

If you are still unable to resolve the extra payment, this forum is just a user to user forum, no-one here has any account access, try using the steps they provide on this link to find out what that extra payment is for.

Then use the steps they provide on this link to cancel whatever that payment was for and get a refund.
