Please send a screenshot of your outlook so I can better diagnose the issue and find a solution.
I'm not sure exactly what you mean by "seeing two lines for each email".

when i open outlook I see two lines for each email. I never changed anything and my preview is checked as off. cant find any other place in view to change anything

This two line per email....top one bold and the bottom one the usual email....is not what people want yet it's forced upon us just like the normal calendar that is now attached to our Outlook page. In the past when the two lines came up I was able to fix it but this time I can't get rid of it. So frustrating!
