I have a corrupted, hidden server-side inbox rule in Outlook.com that recreates itself every time I delete it. I need an Outlook.com engineer to perform an Exchange InboxRules purge/reset. Please clear all server-side rules for my mailbox.

    Hi Ger,

Good day. I'm Jhun an independent advisor. In regards with your issue, let's try to do some steps on which you can try to yourself first. Sometimes hidden rules can be cleared by forcing Outlook.com to rebuild them.

    A. Use Outlook web to delete rules.

    1. Go to Outlook.com > Settings > View all Outlook settings > Mail > Rules
    2. Delete all rules
    3. Save
    4. Sign out and wait for 2–3 minutes then sign in again

    B. If the corrupted rule appears automatically again, request an actual server-side wipe. Only Microsoft support can purge hidden and corrupted Exchange Inbox Rules.

    1. Visit https://support.microsoft.com/contactus
    2. Choose: Microsoft account > Outlook.com

Select Get help (chat or email).

    1. Tell them exactly the issue in details.
    2. They will create a ticket and escalate it to the Outlook.com/Exchange Online backend team. That team is the only group capable of running the server-side PowerShell purge.

    I hope this helps.

    Regards,
    Jhun
