I accidentely created a business account under the name: [Moderator note: personal info removed]@werktaal.onmicrosoft.com. This is a mistake. Now I am constantly confused because I want to use my personal account under the name: [Moderator note: personal info removed].

How can I delete the business account?

I accidently created the business account, while installing office 365. That was a mistake. I removed office 365 and went back to my (boughtd) office 2019, which is perfect for me. Now I don't want to have the business account ending in [Moderator note: personal info removed] (or something like that). My personal account under the name of [Moderator note: personal info removed] is enough. So: I don't use 365.

For this situation may I ask that do you have access to the Microsoft 365 Admin center?

If you do have access to the Microsoft 365 Admin center, please go to the Microsoft 365 Admin center and cancel that subscription.

But before you cancel that subscription you will need to remove the custom domain if you have add it.

You could refer to this article :Remove a domain - Microsoft 365 admin | Microsoft Learn

Then after that

Sign in to the Microsoft 365 admin center with an account that is a Global Administrator in your organization.

You need to cancel a subscription before you can delete it. Select Billing > Your products, and then select Cancel subscription for the subscription that you want to cancel.

Complete the feedback form, and then select Cancel subscription.

Select Delete for the subscription that you want to delete. If you can't find the subscription on the Your products page, make sure that you have Subscription status set to All.

Select the checkbox to accept terms and conditions, and then select Delete subscription. All data for the subscription is permanently deleted in three days. You can reactivate the subscription during the three-day period if you change your mind

Now the subscription state is Disabled, and the subscription is marked for deletion. The subscription enters the Deprovisioned state 72 hours later. After 72 hours from the time you deleted a subscription, sign in to the Microsoft Entra admin center again. Confirm that no required actions or subscriptions are blocking your organization deletion. You should be able to successfully delete your Microsoft Entra organization.

If you don’t remember any details about your admin account, the best approach is to contact your bank and request to stop payments for the Microsoft 365 Business subscription. Once the subscription is no longer paid, it will automatically be deleted.
