Can’t leave Microsoft Family Group

2025-11-29T13:35:03.9+00:00

Hello. My Microsoft account is stuck in a Family Group as a child.

I am now an adult (born in 2005) but my account cannot leave the family group by itself.

The organizer account is ******@gmail.com which I do not recognize or have access to.

Please remove my account from this Family Group or change my role to adult.

Thank you.

If your Microsoft account is part of a Family Group and you are unable to leave it or change your role to adult, you will need to contact the family group organizer to request a change. Since you do not recognize the organizer's email and do not have access to it, you may not be able to resolve this issue on your own. Unfortunately, without access to the organizer's account, you cannot remove yourself from the Family Group or change your role directly.

You might consider reaching out to Microsoft Support for further assistance. They may be able to help you with the situation, especially if you can verify your identity.
