To separate your Microsoft accounts after they have been blended on your husband's new computer, you can follow these steps:

    1. Disconnect the Accounts: You can disconnect your Microsoft account from your husband's account. To do this, go to PC settings, select Users, then choose Disconnect next to the Microsoft account you want to remove. Follow the prompts to finish the process.
    2. Create Separate User Accounts: If you haven't already, create separate user accounts for each of you on the computer. This will help maintain your individual settings and icons. You can do this by going to Settings > Accounts > Family & other users > Add someone else to this PC.
    3. Transfer Settings and Icons: After creating separate accounts, you may need to manually transfer any specific settings or icons from the blended account to your new account. This can include copying files from the desktop or adjusting settings in applications.
    4. Check for Sync Settings: Ensure that your Microsoft account settings are configured to sync only the desired preferences. You can manage this in Settings > Accounts > Sync your settings.

By following these steps, you should be able to separate your accounts without losing your desktop settings and icons.

I have to make sure I don't lose the icons which I put in recycle. When I hit restore, they restored on desktop but they all have "X" across it

It is all set. I basically had to logout of my acct and add in the separate acct and make sure it wasn't syncing to the cloud to affect my other PCs.
