I can't use fingerprint recognition!

I purchased IdeaPad slim 3 (15ITL05) around 1 year ago, and the fingerprint sensor is not working.

The specs list it as having a fingerprint sensor integrated into the power button, and there is a sticker on the power button itself that shows that it has a fingerprint sensor in it.

In Windows 11 settings "Sign-In Options" under "Fingerprint recognition (Windows Hello)" it says:

"This option is currently unavailable" and then when expanded it says "We couldn't find a fingerprint scanner compatible with Windows Hello Fingerprint".

    Hi ehan, welcome in community

Press WIN + X and open device management, see if the touchpad is correctly installed

If not, visit the support site (lenovo) and download the appropriate driver for your notebook.

If you don't know how, share the exact model of your notebook

    Let me know
