    Hi Bryan,

Thank you for sharing your question. I understand how annoying it is to lose your Inbox and Deleted Items folders in Outlook 2013, especially when everything else is still there. Usually, this happens when those main folders get deleted or renamed by mistake, but Outlook has ways to get them back. I am here to help.

To fix it, first, see if the folders are sitting in Deleted Items. If they are, just right-click them and move them back where they belong. If they aren't there, try the Recover Deleted Items thing. In Outlook, go to the Folder tab and hit Recover Deleted Items. A list will pop up showing stuff stored in the Recoverable Items folder. If you spot your Inbox messages there, pick them and click Recover Selected Items.

If the actual folders are gone and can't be restored, you can reset Outlook’s main folders. Close Outlook, and then do this:

    Outlook.exe /resetfolders

This makes any missing main folders like Inbox and Deleted Items show up again. If you think your data file is messed up, run the Inbox Repair Tool (SCANPST.EXE) to fix your PST file.

Can you tell me if your account is hooked up to Exchange or POP/IMAP? Knowing that will help me figure out if there are other ways to get stuff back from the server.

    I hope this helps,

    Best Regards,

    Noel
