2:35pm Tues Dec 2nd My new computer (had for 3 months) is now taking forever to open links, videos are lagging/buffering and now it beeped and something took over my mouse/cursor. I'm on a PC running Windows 11.

Hi Deborah Padgett, That sounds really stressful when your computer suddenly starts lagging beeping and the cursor moves on its own it feels like you’ve lost control.

If your PC starts lagging and beeping then the cursor moves on its own act fast

Disconnect from the internet to stop any remote access, run a full malware scan and check Task Manager for suspicious apps. Clean your mouse or disable the touchpad update drivers and check for overheating. Update graphics and chipset drivers disable unnecessary startup apps and if network lag persists reset the network stack with netsh commands. Finally turn off Remote Desktop and change your Microsoft account password for extra security.

Do you want me to focus on security risks like remote access first or start with performance fixes such as overheating and driver issues?

    Best regards
