Hello Cherilyn Jensen
Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A Forum. I understand how concerning it is when emails aren't appearing in your Inbox. Before we proceed, could you please confirm whether you’ve tried the suggestions mentioned in the AI Assist response above? If any step there wasn’t clear or didn’t help, feel free to let me know.
Here are a few additional checks that you could try:
1. Check mailbox storage
- If your mailbox is full, new emails won't arrive
- Sign in to Outlook on the web, go to Settings > Account > Storage and free up space if needed.
2. Check all folders and Inbox rules
- Look in Junk Email, Archive, Other, Deleted Items folders.
- Also check if any Inbox rules that might move/ delete/ forward these emails through Settings > Mail > Rules/ Forwarding/ Sweep
3. Disable Focused Inbox temporarily
- Sometimes messages are routed incorrectly: Go to Settings > Mail > Layout
- Under Focused Inbox, turn it off by select "Don't sort my messages" to ensure all emails appear in one view.
4. Search for specific emails:
Use the search box and type the sender's name or subject.

To continue helping you, could you please reply with a bit more details, for example:
- Do the missing messages fail to appear only in Inbox, or in every folder?
- Are you using any email apps (like Outlook app)?
- Roughly when did this issue begin?
Please understand that our initial response does not always resolve the issue immediately. However, with your help and more detailed information, we can work together to find a solution.
Thank you for your understanding and patience. Please feel free to let me know how it goes after trying these steps.
