what do I do about this "Security Authority" pop up?

The first occurrence was on 11/25/2025.

I stopped and disabled the Bonjour service on 11/29/2025, but it happened again on 12/3/2025 and 12/6. Services list still shows Bonjour disabled.

Clicking on "learn more" was no help. It just gave me MANY more rabbit holes to get lost in.

So, what next?

Hi! Sorry to hear you’re running into this situation. Have you already tried updating iTunes from the Microsoft Store to make sure you’re using the latest version? Sometimes installing or updating iTunes from the Store also refreshes the Bonjour components in the background, which can help reduce these compatibility warnings.

If everything is working normally and the only issue is that this pop-up keeps appearing, you can also try selecting the “Don’t show this message again” option in that dialog so it doesn’t bother you every time. This won’t remove the underlying module, but it will stop Windows from repeatedly showing the same notification while you continue using your apps.
