Dear jorge chivite
Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Q&A Community. I understand you are having a problem recovering your Outlook email on a new T-Mobile phone and not receiving verification codes. I am happy to assist you. Please try the following steps :
1. Update Security Info
Sign in from a different device at Microsoft Account Security.
- Add your new T-Mobile number and verify it.
- Remove your old AT&T number to prevent code delivery issues.
- See: Microsoft account security info & verification codes - Microsoft Support
2. Use Alternate Verification Methods
- If SMS codes do not arrive, select Email or Microsoft Authenticator app during sign-in. Download and set up Microsoft Authenticator on your new phone.
3. Check Carrier SMS Delivery
Confirm with T-Mobile that short-code SMS is enabled for your line. Some carriers block verification codes by default.
4. Unlock Account if Temporarily Locked
If too many failed attempts occurred, Microsoft may block sign-in for security.
- Wait 15 minutes to 24 hours.
- If still blocked, use Recover your account
5. Generate App Password for Outlook Mobile
If two-factor authentication is enabled, create an app password:
Go to Advanced security options > Create a new app password. Use this password when adding your account in Outlook for Android.
6. Update Outlook App
Install the latest version from Google Play Store and retry after updating security info.
