A few updates ago there were app groups implemented in the start menu. A subsequent update removed the app groups.. Can this feature be turned back on?

If you want to force enable it rather than wait, it can be done with ViveTool.

The ability to group applications in the Start menu was introduced in a previous update but may have been removed in subsequent updates. Currently, there is no direct mention in the provided context about re-enabling app groups if they were removed. However, it is important to keep your Windows updated, as features may change with new updates. If the feature is not available in your current version, it might not be possible to turn it back on until it is reintroduced in a future update.
