I have entered Date of Birth 01 July 2017 by mistake, which is the date of openiing of Office. Due to the age restrictions I am unable to use account effectively to full extent. Therefore I want to change the date of Birth or simply delete account. Moved from Outlook | Web | Outlook on the web for business | Sign in

To change the date of birth associated with your Microsoft account, you typically need to follow the account recovery or management processes provided by Microsoft. Unfortunately, if the account is blocked due to age restrictions, you may not be able to access it fully until the date of birth is corrected.

If you prefer to delete the account instead, you cannot delete a Microsoft Marketplace account yourself. You would need to create a support request for account deletion. Ensure that you are the owner or manager of the account and that there are no offers or applications associated with it before making the request.

For further assistance, you can refer to the support documentation provided by Microsoft for managing your account settings and deletion requests.

Hi, I'm John! I will help you with this.

Just to check, is this a personal Microsoft account or a work/school account created by your organization? The steps can differ a bit depending on that.

For personal Microsoft accounts, you can usually update the date of birth by signing in here: https://account.microsoft.com/profile

If the system won’t let you change it because the age shows under 13, let me know.

Regarding deleting the account, just a quick reminder: if you activated your Office license using this Microsoft account, deleting the account will remove access to that license, meaning you won’t be able to reinstall or reactivate Office in the future.

    John J.D.
