    Hi,

Your Outlook IMAP error means the connection is failing because of incorrect or outdated server settings, security changes, or authentication requirements after you removed and re-added the account. This is common when providers enforce new protocols like OAuth or app passwords.

    Fix:

Confirm IMAP and SMTP settings from your email provider (e.g., Port 993 SSL for IMAP, Port 587 STARTTLS for SMTP).

If your provider requires it, generate an app password and use that instead of your main password.

    Enable modern authentication if available.

Temporarily disable firewall/antivirus to rule out interference.

If still failing, repair or create a new Outlook profile.

it’s usually caused by security updates or protocol changes from your email provider after reconfiguration. Let me know how it goes, Happy to help!
