Hi Team,

When I click the get button in the Microsoft web page to exit the S mode it is asking for admin user name and password. Is there a solution for the same.

I work remotely and my IT team is not able setup an local admin account.

Currently, there is no admin account.

Appreciate help on this.

Regards

To exit S mode in Windows, you typically need to provide an admin username and password. Since you mentioned that there is currently no admin account set up and your IT team is unable to assist you with creating one, you may need to reach out to your IT department for further assistance. They may need to set up a local admin account for you to proceed with switching out of S mode.

If your IT team is unable to help, you might consider reaching out to Microsoft Support for guidance on how to proceed in your specific situation. They can provide you with the necessary steps to either create an admin account or help you exit S mode without one.

Unfortunately, without an admin account, you will not be able to complete the process on your own.

Full administrator access is required to be able to switch out of S Mode, if the PC is provided by your company, they will have group policies set on the PC to restrict what you can do on that PC and you would not be able to create an administrator account on the PC, the only people that can provide you with administrator access on the PC is the IT department in your company.

Or is that is your own PC that is just linked to a work account and if so, do you log into the PC with your own Microsoft account or the work account?
