My sub folders have not migrated from Yahooo into Outlook 365

I migrated from Comcast to Yahoo today. I can see all my subfolders in Yahoo and access my mail.

Linking Yahoo to my Outlook, my subfolders are missing. And I have to recreate my whole calendar.

I am more concerned about accessing my subfolders in Outlook where I want to do all my work. Please help.

Did you ever get this figured out? I just ran into this subfolder issue today. When it was just the old Comcast to Outlook, everything worked fine. But now that Comcast migrated to Yahoo, I can't get all of my subfolders to show up in Outlook. Like you, I set it up as IMAP, but still no luck.

I have no further luck. I was going to try every permutation I can think of after the new year. I may have to call Yahoo and get a techy involved.

Thanks for the quick reply. I've not figured it out either. I recently a MacBook Pro and last night I setup Yahoo to work with the Mac Mail app, and it loads the folders and subfolders just fine.

I have been having the came problem, with the Comcast to Yahoo migration. In Yahoo's webmail, I do see the folder structure. But this is not replicating in my Outlook.

When I use "IMAP Folders..." "Query", these folders do not show up in the list.

I have to report that today when I opened up Outlook, all my folders ad subfolders, history, contacts were there with all the history. I was a miracle. But my calendar is empty. I use Google for my phone and am able to see that also in my Google account on-line.

Also, I have a second e-mail address with Comcast and I was able to add that to my Outlook also and all the subfolders appeared too. All I did was indicate that my provider was Yahoo, sign-in to that account as prompted and BINGO, it all arrived.

So nice to have everything in one place!

Hi,

Thanks for reaching out and explaining what’s going on. Let’s sort this out together. First, could you confirm something for me, when you added your Yahoo account to Outlook, did you set it up as IMAP or POP? IMAP is needed for your subfolders to sync, while POP only brings in your Inbox.

In the meantime, here’s what I suggest:

Make sure your Yahoo account in Outlook is set up as IMAP. You can check this under File > Account Settings > Account Settings. If it’s POP, remove the account and add it back as IMAP.

If you use two-step verification in Yahoo, you’ll need to create an app password. Sign in to Yahoo, go to Account Security, and generate an app password for Outlook. Use that when you re-add the account.

Once that’s done, Outlook should automatically configure IMAP and start syncing your folders. If the folders don’t appear right away, try updating them by going to Send/Receive > Update Folder, or right-click your Yahoo account and select IMAP Folders > Query to make sure all folders are subscribed.

As for your calendar, Yahoo doesn’t sync directly with Outlook. You’ll need to export your Yahoo calendar as an .ics file and then import it into Outlook. In Yahoo, go to Calendar > Settings > Export, and in Outlook, go to File > Open & Export > Import/Export > Import an iCalendar (.ics).

I will try the IMAP version. I let Microsoft to a conversion automatically which was probably the problem. thanks.

I have tried doing a set up with IMAP. See my screen shots below.

I DO NOT have 2 step verification in Yahoo. So, do I need an app password? And where is the app password input while doing the set up, it never tells you which field it is needed in. It should not be this difficult.

Hi! I'm having the same problem. None of my Inbox subfolders are importing. I'm using IMAP (not POP3)...still no luck. What did you do to make it work?
