Event ID 844 indicates that there was an issue with the MDM (Mobile Device Management) enrollment process. The message suggests that during the merge process, a bad enrollment was found, and as a result, policies related to that enrollment are being deleted. The enrollment state message "Your file waiting to be printed was deleted" implies that there was an error that caused the system to discard certain policies or files related to the enrollment.

This event typically signifies that there was a problem with the MDM enrollment, and while it might not require immediate action, it is advisable to monitor for any further issues or errors. If you are not experiencing any problems with device management or functionality, it may be safe to ignore this specific event. However, keeping an eye on future events related to MDM is recommended to ensure smooth operation.

    Hello jamie younkin,

Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum. It's my pleasure to help you today.

I understand that you are encountering event 844 in your event viewer. Like what the AI assistant has pointed out, this is an event related to MDM (Mobile Device Management), this is usually related to group policy and Intune, usually this appears in Enterprise environment. If this is appearing in your personal computer, it could be from the leftover policy form a work or school account.

If this is not causing any issue, you can safely ignore it, it will just remove the old restrictions or configurations related to the work or school account. If you want to make sure, you can go to Settings > Accounts > Access work or school and remove any accounts that you don't use.
