Multiple MS Office Home and Business licenses (2021 & 2016) on my MS account

Last year I purchased a new laptop with MS Office Home and Business 2021. My old laptop had MS Office Home and Business 2016. Both MS offices are under my MS account. I just had to replace my desktop which had MS Office 2010 on it. Both the old computers are no longer functioning. I put the new desktop under my wife's MS account in order to not have my laptop info on the desktop. Is there a way for me to send the MS Office 2016 to the desktop? I have the key code and my account suggests I can download. Would there be a problem to opening my account on the desktop and downloading even though the desktop is under her MS account?

You can install Microsoft Office 2016 on your new desktop using the product key you have, but there are a few considerations:

    1. Account Access: You will need to sign in with your Microsoft account that has the Office 2016 license associated with it to download and install the software. This means you would temporarily need to access your account on the desktop.
    2. License Limitations: If your Office 2016 license is a standalone version, it may only allow installation on one device at a time. Make sure that the license is not already activated on another device.
    3. Installation Process: Once you sign in with your Microsoft account on the desktop, you can go to the Office installation page and use your product key to download and install Office 2016.
    4. Switching Accounts: After installation, you can switch back to your wife's Microsoft account on the desktop if you prefer not to keep your account signed in.

In summary, you should be able to install Office 2016 on the new desktop as long as you have access to your Microsoft account and the license is not already in use on another device. Just remember to switch back to your wife's account afterward if needed.
