Our club was granted free access to Microsoft 365 Business Premium (Nonprofit Staff Pricing) on February 21, 2022 and we have been using your products ever since without charge. On December 14, 2025 we received an invoice for $108.24 for the period December 13, 2025 - December 13, 2026. The covering email suggested that we had initiated this change. That is not the case and we have had no correspondence from Microsoft indicating that this change was to occur. Please explain.

It appears that your club may have received a bill for Microsoft 365 after activating the benefit due to several common reasons. Here are some possibilities:

    1. Changing Billing Frequency: If the billing frequency was changed from monthly to annual, this could result in charges being applied.
    2. Cancellation of Paid Subscriptions: If any paid subscriptions were canceled, this could lead to an invoice being generated.
    3. Using a Business Standard Subscription: If your club is using a Business Standard subscription instead of the nonprofit pricing, charges may apply.

Additionally, Microsoft sends notifications to nonprofit organizations regarding their grant usage and compliance, which could include billing changes. If you did not initiate any changes, it might be beneficial to review your account settings or contact Microsoft support for clarification on the invoice you received.

Most likely you are using Microsoft 365 Business Premium and Office 365 E1 plans.

Microsoft has made some changes to it's non-profit entitlement and has removed these licenses from the free license entitlement.
