Hello guys !! So I got a teams meeting link from a person

https://teams.us02live.com/meet/5496827720?pwd=ymvMBw729FsUTdFEHe5MaFQ4YHcIis

it can’t use it on my phone ( says only use desktop) and it doesn’t open on my laptop says verification failed ? Is it normal ? Is such kind of link actual teams link or just a false malicious link.

Appreciate a response, thanks 🙏

It sounds like you're experiencing issues with a Microsoft Teams meeting link. Here are a few points to consider:

    1. Link Validity: The link you provided appears to be a valid Teams meeting link. However, if it is not opening correctly on your devices, there could be several reasons.
    2. Device Compatibility: Some Teams meeting links may have restrictions based on the device. If it states that it can only be used on a desktop, it's possible that the meeting was set up with such a restriction.
    3. Verification Failed: The "verification failed" message on your laptop could indicate that there is an issue with the link itself or with your Teams account's permissions. Ensure that you are logged into the correct Teams account that has access to the meeting.
    4. Malicious Links: While the link format looks standard for Teams, it's always good to be cautious. If you have doubts about the person who sent the link or the context of the meeting, verify with them directly before proceeding.

If the issue persists, consider reaching out to Microsoft support for further assistance.

I would not trust any meeting invitation received from us02live.com domain. This domain appears to be used by money trading sites. Recently, several Teams users reported receiving fishing emails with links to such sites.

Actually, if you omit "us02" from the invitation link, the meeting will open in a browser, but I would not suggest to continue to this meeting.

Note also that it is not possible to open Teams in a browser on mobile devices. Teams for Web is only supported on desktop devices.
