How do I make a page 'visible' in Loop?

I previously documented meeting notes in a Loop notebook which is saved within a Teams space/Sharepoint. I utilized the functionality of sharing a Loop component in the meeting chat when complete. For some reason, I cannot see the notes in my notebook at all anymore, but they are still present in the meeting space. From the Loop component, I can select the page name which opens the notebook where I originally set up the meeting notes. The notes appear to be where they should be, but there is no page indicator (in any section) of the navigation pane for the notes. I don't see any way to hide a page from the navigation pane, so I have no idea how this has happened or how to make the page visible again.

It sounds like you're experiencing an issue with the visibility of your meeting notes in the Loop notebook. While the context provided does not specifically address how to make a page visible in Loop, it does mention that existing Loop files and workspaces remain accessible even if certain features are disabled. Since your notes are still present in the meeting space, they should be accessible, but the navigation pane may not be displaying them correctly.

Here are a few steps you might consider:

    1. Check Permissions: Ensure that you have the appropriate permissions to view the notes in the Loop notebook.
    2. Refresh the Application: Sometimes, simply refreshing the app or logging out and back in can resolve display issues.
    3. Access via Direct Link: Since you can open the notebook from the Loop component, you might want to bookmark or save that link for easier access.
    4. Contact Support: If the page still does not appear in the navigation pane, consider reaching out to Microsoft support for assistance, as they may have more specific troubleshooting steps for your situation.

Unfortunately, the context does not provide a direct solution for making a page visible in Loop, but these steps may help you troubleshoot the issue.

    Dear @Kylee Johnson

Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum.

I understand how inconvenient it must be to have your meeting notes still accessible from the Loop component in Teams, yet the page itself no longer appears anywhere in the notebook’s navigation pane.

When meeting notes are shared as a Loop component in a Teams chat, the component is stored as a .loop file in OneDrive, rather than as a page inside your Loop workspace.

Channel-based Loop pages behave differently. They are saved in the team’s SharePoint site (Shared Documents) and are visible under the channel’s Shared tab. This is why you can still open the file but do not see a corresponding page in your workspace navigation.

Below are some steps and workarounds to help you surface the file correctly:

    • How to verify and make the page visible:

Locate the file: Find the Loop file directly from the meeting space or its shared location.

Add it to your workspace: Open the Loop component > Select Shared Locations > Choose Add to Loop workspace, then select the appropriate workspace.

Check permissions: Ensure all required team members have the necessary access and edit rights to the workspace.

Confirm in Loop on the web: Visit Loop online > open the correct workspace > the navigation pane should now display the added page.

    • Recommendations for future meetings:

To avoid this issue moving forward, you have two options:

Option 1: After creating a Loop component in Teams, make sure to add it to your intended workspace right away: Shared Location > Add to Loop workspace.

Option 2: Create the Loop page directly within your workspace on the Loop website, then share it with your meeting group.

This ensures the page appears in the workspace navigation and remains organized for everyone.
