My subscription has renewed this month for 365 on iPad and I have now been given a windows laptop to use. I would like to transfer my subscription to the laptop but each time I try to cancel the subscription and change it they want me to pay again and I paid $179 on renewal 4 Dec 25. Some assistance would be greatly appreciated please

To transfer your Microsoft 365 subscription from your iPad to your Windows laptop, you typically do not need to cancel your subscription. Instead, you can simply install Microsoft 365 on your Windows laptop using the same Microsoft account that you used to activate it on your iPad. Here are the steps you can follow:

    1. Sign in to your Microsoft account on your Windows laptop.
    2. Download and install Microsoft 365 from the official Microsoft website or through the Microsoft Store.
    3. Activate Microsoft 365 using the same account credentials you used on your iPad.

If you encounter any issues during installation or activation, ensure that your subscription is active and that you are using the correct Microsoft account. If you still wish to cancel your subscription, remember that if you have an MCA billing account type, you can only receive a prorated credit or refund if you cancel within seven days after the start or renewal of your subscription. Otherwise, you will keep access until the end of your billing cycle.

For further assistance, you may want to contact Microsoft support directly for help with your specific situation.

Hello, good day and thanks for your question. To add to the above which is also inclined on the business side, what is the exact subscription do you have, is it Microsoft 365 Basic or Personal?
