When I pull up excel or office there is a yellow tab at the top telling me that it is now "view only" and a button to the right that says "reactivate" - which does not work or do anything. I spent hours trying to talk to a person to get help to no avail. I read the articles which also did not resolve the issue. How do I reactivate my MS365. I have a MAC

Hi, I'm John! I will help you with this.

To clarify first, where are you trying to reactivate it from, inside Excel/Word itself, or through your Microsoft account online?

    If you haven't already:

    • Please open a browser (Safari or Chrome works fine).
    • Go to https://account.microsoft.com/services
    • Sign in with the Microsoft account you normally use for Office.
    • Check whether your Microsoft 365 subscription shows as Active, Expired, or Payment issue.

If the subscription shows expired or has a billing problem, renewing or fixing the payment there should immediately restore full editing access.

If after renewal and issue still persists, please let me know.

If the issue persists, please provide more details by answering my questions.

Click "Add comment" below to let me know.

    Regards,

    John J.D.
