My PC is running Windows 10 and I plan to accept the free upgrade to Windows 11.

I have office home and student 2007 installed via the key code that came with that product. Will this software still work after Windows 11 has been installed?

    Hi,

Thanks for your question about Office Home and Student 2007.

I get that you're counting on that version and want to be sure it still works after you upgrade from Windows 10 to Windows 11.

It can be a pain when software you need suddenly stops working, mostly if you paid for it a long time ago.

Even though Office Home and Student 2007 isn't supported anymore, people say it runs okay on Windows 11 – as long as it's already installed and activated before the upgrade. Microsoft MVPs and community experts say Office 2007 still works without big problems: Word, sheets, and PowerPoint should all be good, but Outlook might have problems with newer mail servers. So, you should still be able to use your installed Office 2007 after upgrading.

    I hope this helps.

    Best Regards,

    Noel

Once a Microsoft operating system (OS) reaches the end of support, customers will no longer receive technical assistance, software updates, or security fixes. However, the OS may still work with programs and hardware after the sale or support of the operating system has been discontinued. This means that while Office Home and Student 2007 may still function after upgrading to Windows 11, there is an increased possibility that it may not perform optimally or be compatible with future updates or new software due to its age and lack of support.

Given that Office 2007 has reached the end of its support lifecycle, it is advisable to consider upgrading to a more recent version of Office to ensure continued compatibility and support with newer operating systems like Windows 11.
