Driver Power State Failure (9f) states that a PCI driver of some description is failing to complete a "power IRP within a specific time".

Build:

-Windows 11 Pro

-AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D with X3D mode enabled (limits cores to 8 vice 12)

-Powercolor AMD Radeon RTX 9070XT Reaper

-MSI X870E-P Pro WIFI ATX

-Corsair 2x32GB 5200MHz DDR5

-Crucial P310 4TB

-SK Hynix Platinum 1TB

-Corsair 3500X case

Problem description:

When computer goes to sleep, upon wake, approximately 4-6 minutes later it will experience the stated problem. After failure occurs, has not repeated after restart.

Steps taken:

-Verify drivers are updated in Device Manager

-Verified drivers for graphics card are up to date

-Verified CPU drivers are updated (through the AMD software suite application)

-Flashed BIOS to most recent update from MSI website via USB key

-Clean install windows 11 Pro

-Ran sfc /scannow and DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth with no problems discovered

-Running Windows Troubleshooters lead me to self help articles, which tell me to run the troubleshooters (this may be PEBCAK)

-Investigated dmp file, points to PCI failure, no specific device

-Noted that Debug shows OS as Windows 10, vice Windows 11, unsure if that is expected

Request for action:
Based on other forums, they've noted temperature spikes, and I haven't seen anything to that effect. I have scheduled a memory check for the next restart in the Windows Tools menu. Other users state that their laptops are experiencing the issues, but doesn't quite match my use case. Please advise!

Please upload any minidump files you have, I will check those to see if they provide any insight into a potential cause of the system crashes.

    Open Windows File Explorer.

    Navigate to C:\Windows\Minidump

Copy any minidump files onto your Desktop, then zip those up.

Upload the zip file to the Cloud (OneDrive... etc.), then choose to share those and get a share link.

Then post the link here to the zip file, so I can take a look for you.
