Authenticator - accounts are disappearing

I had MS Authenticator installed on my S20FE android phone and used it for a few years. Recently I went to open authenticator and it was crashing. It eventually opened and all my accounts were gone. I was looking for a new phone so around the same time I bought a new S25 Android phone.
On this new phone I installed MS Authenticator and started fresh. I had added two MS accounts (home and business) and PayPal. This morning I went to add another account. When I opened the app, I saw the Paypay account show briefly and then it disappeared. MS Authenticator no longer has my paypal account attached it. I think I need some answers or I will have to move to a different 2FA app.
