Every time I try to paste something into a comment bubble I get an error message (Error 4605 occurred: This method or property is not available because comment card is sleected in pane. - PaseRemoveSectionand ColumnBreaksAndReformatTables)

Does this mean I simply can't paste anything into a comment bubble/card (if so Microsoft, seriously, please fix) or is there another way?

It seems that you are encountering an issue when trying to paste text or hyperlinks into a comment bubble in Microsoft Word. The error message you received (Error 4605) indicates that the method or property is not available because the comment card is selected in the pane. This suggests that there may be limitations on what can be pasted into comment bubbles.

Currently, Word for the web supports basic text pasting options, but there may be restrictions when it comes to pasting formatted text or hyperlinks directly into comment bubbles. If you are using the desktop version of Word, you might want to ensure that you are not trying to paste content while the comment card is selected, as this could lead to the error you are experiencing.

To work around this, you could try the following steps:

    1. Copy the text or hyperlink you want to paste.
    2. Click outside the comment bubble to deselect it.
    3. Paste the text or hyperlink into the comment bubble after ensuring it is not selected.

If the issue persists, it may be a limitation of the application that Microsoft needs to address. You can provide feedback to Microsoft regarding this issue through their support channels.

Do you see this error when trying to paste specific content into a table? Or do you see it if you try and paste ordinary (unformatted) text as well?

See if you can paste the content in the comment in the Reviewing Pane (Revisions pane). To display the pane, click Reviewing Pane in the Markup group on the Review tab.
