I had to remove my kids from my family to change my account details. I am no longer able to see my kids in MS family and it says they are already a member. The error code is FESEQAi0QkKq0LUI.129.85

    Hi Ken,

This is April, I'll be happy to assist you. Sorry to hear that you're having issue with Microsoft Family. Let me help you out.

Based on the description of your issue, after removing your children from your Microsoft Family group to update my account details, you can no longer re-add them.

When you try to re-add your child's account, does the child's profile still show as part of any existing Microsoft Family group when they sign in directly to family.microsoft.com?

This error typically happens when the child's Microsoft account remains associated with your previous family group. Even after removal, the system still recognizes them as "already a member", preventing you from adding them again.

This error occurs because the child account may still be recognized as part of the previous family on Microsoft's backend, changes to family membership can take time to sync across services, or the organizer's account details (like email or region) may have changed. Error code FESEQAi0QkKq0LUI.129.85 is specifically tied to this membership conflict.

How to Fix the Microsoft Family Safety Account Issue

    1. Verify the Child's Account
      • Sign in to Microsoft Family Safety using your child's account.
      • Navigate to Family settings > Your family
      • If the child still appears in a family group, they must leave that group before being re-added.
    2. Remove Any Remaining Memberships
      • Sign in as the organizer at account.microsoft.com/family
      • Check if the child's account is still listed under Members.
      • If it appears, remove the child from the family group again.
    3. Re-add the Child
      • While signed in as the organizer, choose Add a family member > Child.
      • Enter the child's Microsoft email and send the invitation
      • The child should accept the invitation via their email or the Family Safety app.
    4. If the Problem Persists
      • Open the Family Safety mobile app, go to Home > Help & Feedback, and send logs to report issue.
      • Contact Microsoft Support with the error code so they can manually reset the child's family association.

You can contact the live support here https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/home/contact

    • You need to sign to another Microsoft account in order to access this page.
    1. Enter your issue and click Get Help
    2. Click "Contact Support" that you will see on the lower part of the page
    3. Under "Products and Services", click "Select your product or service" and select the product you want to ask about. You can select "Windows"
    4. Under “Category”, click “Select your support category” and select the category you want to ask about. You can select "Billing and Account profile questions"
    5. Press Confirm
    6. Press Chat with a support agent in your web browser

I hope this helps. If you need further assistance you can reply to this message.

    Thank you,

    April P.
