Hi there. Power Query is no longer supported here on Q&A. I'd recommend you post this over on the https://aka.ms/PQCommunity site.
Why do i recieve the following error when performing a Close and Apply? OLE DB or ODBC error: Exception of type 'Microsoft.Mashup.Engine.Interface.ResourceAccessForbiddenException' was thrown..
I'm using Microsoft's 30 day Trial for Azure, mainly to see if Text Analytics will work for my company.
I created an Invoke Function with the code required to call and return Key Phrases. From Add Column, I select Invoke Custom Function, select my custom function and the field I want processed. Power Query then inserts a new column with the Key Phrases (all looks good). When I select the option to Close and Apply I receive the following error message.
OLE DB or ODBC error: Exception of type 'Microsoft.Mashup.Engine.Interface.ResourceAccessForbiddenException' was thrown.
As one of the suggested solutions on the forum; I cleared the Global Permission from Data Source Setting. I'm still receiving the same error.
Can anyone assist with how best to resolve my issue?
Hi, did you provide authentication as specified in this document?
I I had the Authentication Privacy to Anonymous.
There's a drop down that lists settings. I selected the default "https://incidentkeywords.cognitiveservices.azure.com/". I also tried selecting the one I have defined in my Function code, which is "https://incidentkeywords.cognitiveservices.azure.com/text/analytics/v3.0/keyPhrases"? I still receive the error "OLE DB or ODBC error: Exception of type 'Microsoft.Mashup.Engine.Interface.ResourceAccessForbiddenException' was thrown." when I perform the Close & Apply".
Hi, a similar question was asked on the PowerBI community forum and suggests that switching to paid tier resolved the issue as there might be some limitations with free tier. Please try using paid tier if you can to verify. Since this error is within PoweBI, I suggest following up on the dedicated forum or contacting PowerBI support for quicker resolution. You might also find this post useful. I've also added power query tag to this post for visibility.
II spoke with a Azure support person last week and he confirmed that I can use the free tier within Power BI. This probably is not the case.
I will look into a paid tier as you suggests and hopefully that resolves the issue.
