My Account is showing canceled but it looks like I'm paid. My next renewal is Dec 28th.

If your Microsoft 365 personal account is showing as canceled despite being up to date on payments, there could be several reasons for this discrepancy. Here are a few steps you can take to investigate the issue:

    1. Check Billing Status: Go to the Microsoft 365 admin center and verify your billing status. Ensure that your payment method is valid and that there are no issues with your account.
    2. Review Subscription Details: Sometimes, subscriptions can be marked as canceled if there were changes to the billing frequency or if any subscriptions were inadvertently canceled. Check if there have been any changes made to your account.
    3. Contact Support: If everything appears correct but the issue persists, it may be best to contact Microsoft 365 Support for assistance. They can provide specific details regarding your account status and help resolve any issues.

Make sure to check your account details and reach out to support if necessary to clarify the situation.

    Hello kenny mcquiller,

Thank you for reaching out in Microsoft Q&A forum.

I understand how confusing it is when your Microsoft 365 Personal subscription shows “canceled” even though your payment is up to date.

Please check the following to confirm which subscription is active and why the status may show incorrectly:

    A. Confirm the subscription status

    Go to: https://account.microsoft.com/services

    • Make sure you are signed in with the same Microsoft account that you used to buy the subscription.
    • If you see more than one subscription (active + canceled), the “canceled” one may belong to an old plan or an old renewal. The active one should show the next renewal date: Dec 28.

    B. Verify that the payment actually succeeded

    Go to: https://account.microsoft.com/billing/orders

Check the charge for the renewal, it should show as Completed or Paid. If it shows Pending, Declined, or Failed, your bank may still be processing or blocking the payment.

    C. If everything is paid, but the account still says “canceled”

    This can happen if:

    • The renewal is scheduled but not processed yet
    • A previous subscription was canceled, but a new one was purchased
    • Automatic renewal was turned off earlier
    • A different Microsoft account owns the active subscription

    You can fix it by:

    1. Checking if auto‑renew is turned ON for the active subscription.
    2. Signing out and signing back in to office.com to refresh the license.
    3. Restarting the apps to force them to sync the subscription.

If the status still does not update, use Microsoft Support to review the subscription on your account: https://support.microsoft.com
