I’m signing in using my password and tried with Authenticator app. But it just says oops something happened try again. I’ve logged into my account into a Microsoft supported laptop before and have repeatedly signed in using my account (great example is here posting this question) so what do i need to do to allow myself to freaking log in??

If you're having trouble signing into your Microsoft account on a new PC, there are several steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue:

    1. Check Your Credentials: Ensure that you are entering the correct email address and password. If you have recently changed your password, make sure you are using the new one.
    2. Use the Authenticator App: If you are trying to sign in using the Microsoft Authenticator app, ensure that your phone is connected to the internet and that you are following the prompts correctly. You may need to select "Other ways to sign in" if the app is not responding as expected.
    3. Clear Browser Cache: If you are signing in through a web browser, try clearing your browser's cache and cookies or try using a different browser.
    4. Disable Security Software: Sometimes, security software can interfere with the sign-in process. If you have any security software installed, consider temporarily disabling it to see if that resolves the issue.
    5. Check for Multiple Accounts: If you have multiple Microsoft accounts, ensure that you are trying to sign in with the correct one. Sometimes, signing in with a different account can cause confusion.
    6. Account Recovery: If you continue to have issues, you may want to try resetting your password or recovering your account through the Microsoft account recovery options.
    7. Contact Support: If none of the above steps work, consider reaching out to Microsoft support for further assistance.

These steps should help you resolve the login issue on your new PC.
