HELP, Just HELP

I really need help. I have been trying to recover access to my Microsoft account for over one year, without any success, and I have reached a dead end with Microsoft Support.

There seems to be no way to contact a real person. All support options lead only to automated help pages that repeatedly ask me to sign in to my account — which is exactly the problem, since I cannot access it.

When I select “I forgot my password”, the system asks me to receive a verification code:

  • If I choose an alternative email address, I get a message saying that it is temporarily impossible to send the code.
  • If I choose SMS verification, I enter the last 4 digits of my phone number (including the 2 digits shown on screen), and again I receive the same message: temporarily impossible to send the code.

There are no other recovery options available. The process goes in circles and never provides a solution.

Because of this, I was forced to create a new Microsoft account, but:

  • My Windows license is linked to my old account
  • My Skype profile is linked to my old account
  • Most importantly, I need access to my email, which is still connected to that account

I even tried calling Microsoft Support in Spain. As soon as the automated system detects that I want to recover my account, it only sends me a link to the same support website with automated help and never allows me to speak to a real support agent.

I am currently paying around €10 per month for Microsoft subscriptions, but after this experience, I honestly do not feel comfortable paying even one more cent for a service that causes so much frustration over a basic account recovery issue.

Please, I urgently need real human assistance to regain access to my account.

Thank you.

    Hello, Nelly Yakunina.

Since we are talking about your personal account access data, I recommend contacting Microsoft support directly in the chat. To do this, log in to your MS account (the one that is active, for example, the one you wrote with in this forum) on the page https://support.microsoft.com/en-US/home/contact?SourceApp=smc2&ContactUsExperienceEntryPointAssetId=www.microsoft.com

In the search bar, type (without quotes) "agent support" and press Enter or click on Get Help. Ignore the search results, and click on the "Contact Support" button at the bottom. On the next page, select "Windows" and "Technical Support" from the drop-down lists, and then click on "Confirm". Next, select the chat "Chat with a support agent in your web browser" and on the next page enter your email address (if requested) and click on "Confirm". A chat window will open in a new tab. Wait for the operator to respond and explain the situation to him.

Note. The chat is available during business hours and on business days according to US time.
