We are pleased to announce that Azure Site Recovery now supports RHEL/CentOS/OL 8.4 & 8.5. We will be publishing an update roll up for agent version 9.47 shortly that will call out this information as well.

We have update our RHEL 8.4 to kernel 4.18.0-348.7.1.el8_5.x86_64 and ASR process has 9.46.0.0 but still failing with message about error code EP0921.
Do we have to update to 9.46 hotfix2 get this working?

I have multiple machines running RHEL 8.3 that require updates to 8.4. The November Azure Site Recovery rollup was released and still no support for ASR and RHEL 8.4. Do you know when this will be released as 8.5 RHEL is already out and Azure Security Center is going to start to complain about this next.
We are working on rolling out support for RHEL 8.4 and the new ETA is 12/31 (Tentative).
@SadiqhAhmed-MSFT We would appreciate if a some confirmation could be given. Dates are consistently being pushed since Oct. How sure are you that Microsoft will meet 12/31?
I understand your concern. However, it all depends on how well the testing goes with Azure backup. As mentioned 12/31 is tentative and we are positive that the support will be rolled out on the mentioned date.

It should be available for all regions.
Any new date for RHEL 8.4 support as Dec 31 2021 has been missed.

Even though the documentation has been updated ASR is still not supported for RHEL 8.4 & 8.5. As the mobility agent extension has yet to be updated. Installing the Mobility Agent fails stating "Site recovery extension does not support the Linux operating system kernel version running on the source machine."
Give kernel upgrade a shot.
For RHEL8.4 the kernel needs to be upgraded to 4.18.0-305.30.1.el8_4.x86_64 or higher version.
For RHEL8.5, the kernel needs to be upgraded to 4.18.0-348.5.1.el8_5.x86_64 or higher version.
When try to enable ASR for RHEL VM with kernel version 4.18.0-348.2.1.el8_5.x86_64 which is higher than 4.18.0-305.30.1.el8_4.x86_64, while got the error “This version of mobility service doesn't support the operating system kernel version (4.18.0-348.2.1.el8_5.x86_64) running on the source machine”.
Will update to kernel version 4.18.0-348.7.1.el8_5.x86_64.
Would you kindly double check if 4.18.0-348.7.1.el8_5.x86_64 support ASR?
Thanks I can confirm that after upgrading kernel to be 4.18.0-348.7.1.el8_5.x86_64 ASR is now syncing to the secondary DR location. Seems like the documentation requires some modifications to state the actual supported kernel's for 8.4 & 8.5

The updates are part of 9.46 hotfix-2, which is already released. The notes for it will be clubbed into Rollup 60, which should be out next week.
