@ToddMancini-3367 Adding more information to the above suggestion: No committed plans for custom domains support for now. Storage account must use full qualified domain name e.g. (accountname.file.core.windows.net).
To access share with a different name, like \\myfileserver\myshare, customer can use DFS-N. This is typically required to preserve existing file server naming convention as customers migrate data from on-premises files shares to Azure Files.
