Not able to access macros in Microsoft Word Templates on Windows 11. I enabled macros in the Trust Center in Options but they are not available to me in the actual template.

Do not enable all macros! That is not needed to enable macros.
Instead, disable all macros with notification.

Make sure the templates containing the macros are in a Trusted Location.

When in Word, what happens if you press Alt+F11 (+Fn on some computers)?
It should open the vba editor. Look at your Normal project. Does it have any modules like NewMacros?

Are these document templates or global templates?

Some very old templates are not accessible.

I have the old Pleading Wizard and Calendar Wizard from Word 2003 and they simply will not run no matter what. The vba is stripped from them when they are used.

If you are unable to access macros in Microsoft Word templates despite enabling them in the Trust Center, it may be due to the Mark of the Web (MOTW) being applied to the template file. Macro-enabled template files downloaded from the internet typically have this mark, which blocks macros from running by default.

Here are some steps you can take to resolve this issue:

    1. Remove the Mark of the Web: If the template file is stored on your device, you can remove the MOTW from the file.
    2. Save to a Trusted Location: Save the template file to a Trusted Location on your system. This can allow macros to run without restrictions.
    3. Use a Digital Signature: If the template is from a network location, consider using a digital signature and trusting the publisher.
    4. Check Group Policies: Ensure that your organization's group policies do not restrict macro usage in Office applications.

By following these steps, you should be able to access the macros in your Word templates.
