I am locked out of my tenant, the person in my company who setup the tenant has been away for around a year, he had access to the only global admin in the company.

The problem is that he has now changed phone + phone number, and didnt carry over any MFA and as he changed his phone number, he cannot access the admin account.

I am also unable to create a support ticket, as my account is not an admin account.

I am the owner, of the company and the domain tnregnskab.

Can someone please help me what to do from here, or how to contact MS support to create a ticket?

i can verify all necessary information, and personal info to prove ownership.

If you are locked out of your tenant and do not have access to the global admin account, you will need to contact Microsoft Support directly to regain access. Since you mentioned that you are the owner of the company and can verify necessary information, you should reach out to Microsoft for assistance in this situation.

Here are the steps you can take:

    1. Contact Microsoft Support: You can find the appropriate contact information for Microsoft 365 support by visiting the Microsoft 365 admin center or using the global customer service phone numbers. Since you cannot create a support ticket yourself, contacting them directly by phone will be necessary.
    2. Provide Verification Information: When you contact support, be prepared to provide any necessary information to verify your identity and ownership of the tenant.
    3. Request Assistance: Explain your situation clearly to the support representative, including the fact that the only global admin is unavailable and that you need help to regain access to your tenant.

If you have access to another global admin in your organization, you could also ask them for assistance in resetting the admin account or recovering access.

Hi Thomas Nielsen, I can imagine how stressful this situation is you’re the company owner locked out of your own tenant and the usual recovery steps aren’t available because the only global admin lost MFA access.

Fill out the Microsoft Admin Recovery form prove domain ownership by adding a TXT record call Microsoft support with your company documents ready and once verified they’ll reset or add a Global Admin so you can regain access.

Do you still have access to your domain registrar account to add a TXT record for Microsoft verification?

    Best regards

    Lucky
