If you are being billed in January while your next payment is due in September 2026, it may be due to several reasons related to your subscription and billing practices. Here are some common scenarios:

    1. Change in Billing Frequency: If you changed your billing frequency from annual to monthly, this could result in additional charges appearing on your invoice.
    2. Subscription Renewal: If your subscription is set to renew before September 2026, you might receive an invoice for the renewal.
    3. Service Changes: If you made changes to your subscription, such as adding or removing licenses, these changes could affect your billing cycle and result in an invoice before the expected date.
    4. Billing Period Adjustments: Sometimes, billing periods can be adjusted to align with service periods or other operational needs, which might lead to receiving an invoice at an unexpected time.

For more detailed information about your specific billing situation, you may want to review your invoice or contact Microsoft support for clarification.
