why is outlook so much trouble? issue between the 365 version and the free version used earlier

Why is Outlook so much trouble? Have had to contact customer service several times to get the 365 version to work. Learned that the web version cannot have addresses added. Pinned icon does not always work.

Microsoft calls many things "Outlook." This forum covers classic Outlook for Windows. Is that what you're using? Who's your mail provider - that is, what follows the @ in your address? You say you're having "trouble." Describe that trouble in as much detail as you can provide. What are you doing and what happens when you do it?
