To troubleshoot your computer's performance issues, consider the following steps:

    1. Check for Hardware Issues: Open the Device Manager to see if any devices are marked with an exclamation point (!). Update any faulty drivers.
    2. Run Hardware Diagnostics: Use the diagnostics tools provided by your system manufacturer to check for any hardware problems.
    3. Check for Software Issues: Ensure that your operating system and software applications are up to date. You can check for updates in Settings > Update & Security.
    4. Run System File Checker: Use the SFC /scannow command in the Command Prompt to repair any missing or corrupted system files.
    5. Check Disk for Errors: Use the Scan disk utility to check for file system errors. Right-click the drive, select Properties > Tools > Check now.
    6. Free Up Disk Space: Make sure you have sufficient free space on your hard drive, ideally 10% to 15% of the total capacity.
    7. Run Virus Scan: Use a virus detection program to check for any malware that could be affecting your computer's performance.
    8. Boot in Safe Mode: If problems persist, try booting your computer in Safe Mode to see if the issue is related to third-party applications or drivers. You can access Safe Mode through Settings > Update & Security > Recovery > Advanced startup.

If these steps do not resolve your issue, you may need to consider more advanced troubleshooting or consult with a professional.
