Hi

Can somebody help me on my issue below ? The first thing i've made changes on restoring the GPT.ini per policy folder in sysvol. because they have an error that windows failed to attemp to read (GUID) so i restore it from the backup by copying in manually to each policy folder and the error suddenly disappeared but after running GPupdate /force to verify the error is still occurring i had the new errors below.

Sysvol replication is working fine
DC replication is working good and replicated to each other.
I have 2 DC one from site A and one from Site B.

Buen dia estimado.

Este error se debe a que hay una politica en el dominio que posiblemente se haya corrompido.

Ya que que tuve el mismo escenario, con el siguiente mensaje.

"Windows failed to apply the Group Policy Folders settings. Group Policy Folders settings might have its own log file. Please click on the "More information" link.

Windows failed to apply the Group Policy Files settings. Group Policy Files settings might have its own log file. Please click on the "More information" link.

Windows failed to apply the Group Policy Registry settings. Group Policy Registry settings might have its own log file. Please click on the "More information" link."

Solucion:

-Para saber que GPO es la que esta causando el problema dirijete al Event Viewer en el Windows Logs en la carpeta de Aplication o Aplicaciones podras ver el event 8191 te dara el ID de la politica con la que se presentan los problemas,

1 - Lo mejor es restaurar la GPO a un Backup

2 - Para que los usuarios puedan recibir las GPOS y replicar en todo el dominio desactiva la GPO momentaneamente.

3- Si no tienes un Backup para salud del dominio lo mejor es eliminarla y crear una nueva.

Hi,

From the information what you provided , i found that :the sysvol replication do have a problem.Please confirm the replication again .
Following information just for your reference:

If GPT.INI changes you made only happened(replace thefrom the backup)on one DC, and not replicated to another,i would suggest you do a non- authoritative synchronization for DFSR-replicated SYSVOL .

If the changes are replicated to the other DC,I wold recommend you restore the whole sysvol folder with the back not just the GPT.ini.And let it replicate to another.

Note: It is not recommend to put all the logs here due to a security and policy reason. But the error message can be shared here(hide the private information)for m clear understanding.
