Question

RDP to Azure VM keep failing after restart/stop-start

Hi,

What is the meaning of this boot diagnostic screenshot?

From the screenshot i can say that VM is disconnected from the network?
How to troubleshoot this?
IP is still the same on Azure portal blade.
tried start-stop/restarting the VM no luck. please help.

Is this a new deployment or was it working previously? It might be DNS related, have you get custom DNS servers set up on the VNET or on the NIC of this VM?

It means the VM is booted fine but connectivity may be a issue.
can you please answer the below:

form when you started facing this issue ?
are you accessing the VM from public IP or VPN ?
any changes made to windows firewall ?
have you checked your NSGs for any blockage observed?

Yes, I have tried all the steps,

RDP port 3389 (inbound) is opened but still cannot connect to the port. so NSG is fine and working.

Cannot boot into system through RDP so cannot change the internal settings. (Please specify if any, will find some command for that if possible using console in portal)

Agent Status is not ready.

How to reinstall the agent in portal? why this issue occurred? I need to know this cause it should not happen in the future.

Docs are redirecting me to backup steps, I haven't configured a restore point or setup any kind of backup. I cant afford to lose data.

Please help.

Are you sure it's not a DNS issue? Did you set any IP address settings on the VM itself?

You can try to reset RDP on the VM, there are other troubleshooting options listed on this link also:
