I am the sole global admin for my Microsoft 365 business tenant and I have been locked out of my account since Dec. 18 due to multifactor authentication. My Microsoft authentication app was removed from my phone, and I am unable to complete MFA or access the admin portal. I have already opened a support ticket on Dec. 18 but have not received any response from the Data Protection Team. I urgently need access to my business email and admin center. Please initiate a Tenant Ownership Verification (TOV) for an admin lockout and provide the secure link so that I can submit my documents. Thank you for escalating this issue immediately. This is a business critical issue.

If you are the sole global admin and have been locked out of your Microsoft 365 account due to multifactor authentication (MFA) issues, you will need to contact the Azure Data Protection team for assistance. Since you have already opened a support ticket, it is crucial to follow up with them directly if you have not received a response. You can contact the Azure Data Protection team at +1 866-807-5850 for immediate assistance. They can help you reset your credentials and regain access to your account.

Additionally, to prevent future lockouts, consider setting up an emergency access account (also known as a break-glass account) in Microsoft Entra, which can help you avoid being locked out in similar situations in the future.

That phone number is not a working phone number. This was not helpful and I need assistance still. This is an urgent business issue.

Hi, I'm John! I will help you with this.

If you are the only Global Admin and don’t have any alternative verification methods set up (like backup phone or email), then the only way forward is to contact Microsoft 365 Business support directly via phone https://support.microsoft.com/topic/customer-service-phone-numbers-c0389ade-5640-e588-8b0e-28de8afeb3f2 They’ll ask you to verify your domain ownership and can help reset the MFA requirement so you can get back into your account.

Or, you can create a temporary trial Microsoft 365 Business account and use it to reach Microsoft Support directly through the admin center, that often helps you connect with the right support team faster:

I really hope this information is helpful! Let me know if you have any further questions or concerns.

    Regards,

    John J.D.
