To turn on optional diagnostic data on Windows 10 Home Edition, follow these steps:

    1. Go to Settings > Privacy > Diagnostics & feedback.
    2. Check the Optional Diagnostic Data switch. If it's flipped to On, you're ready to go. If it's set to Off, flip it to On and reboot your device.
    3. After enabling it, ensure you check for the latest updates by going to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update.

This will allow your device to send optional diagnostic data to Microsoft, which is necessary for running Windows Insider Preview Builds and for troubleshooting issues.

    Dear Longevity H. Lee

Thank you for your question and for sharing the details into Microsoft Q&A Forum.

Based on the screenshot you provided, the message “Some of these settings are hidden or managed by your organization” means that your diagnostic data settings are controlled by a policy. This typically happens when your device is connected to a work or school account.

Could you please confirm if you are using a personal Microsoft account or a work/school account on this device?  If it’s a personal account and you still see this message, it may indicate that a policy was previously applied or the device was once managed by an organization.

If you are using a work or school account, these settings are controlled by your organization. In this case, please contact your IT administrator or your organization's support team for assistance in enabling Optional Diagnostic Data.

Looking forward to your response, and I’ll be happy to assist further.

    Dear Vikki-T,

    Thanks for your kind attention.

I am using a personal Microsoft account. I used to use my own laptop at work. This issue goes with the below error. I have just left Windows Insider Program for some days, then I will try to join again to see whether it is OK.
