They said since there is two way notification on my account an email wont be sent to them to notify of the issue. What can I do?

If your Microsoft account has been hacked, here are steps you can take to regain control and notify Microsoft:

    1. Reset Your Password: If you still have access to your account, immediately change your password. If you cannot access your account, try the account recovery options provided by Microsoft.
    2. Contact Microsoft Support: Since you mentioned that you cannot notify Microsoft via email, try reaching out through their support page or by using the Microsoft Support app if you have it installed on your device.
    3. Enable Two-Factor Authentication: If you regain access, enable two-factor authentication to add an extra layer of security to your account.
    4. Check for Suspicious Activity: Look for any unauthorized changes or activity in your account settings, such as changes to your recovery email or phone number.
    5. Report the Incident: You can report the hacking incident to Microsoft through their support channels. They may have specific procedures for reporting compromised accounts.
    6. Monitor Your Accounts: Keep an eye on your other accounts and financial statements for any suspicious activity, as hackers may have access to more than just your Microsoft account.

If you suspect that sensitive information has been compromised, consider notifying your bank and credit card companies as well.
